Introduction and History
Zululand pineapples are produced on the farm Belvedere which was procured in 1994. The cultivar produced is the "Victoria Queen" (or elsewhere in the world known as "Ananas Victoria") under the registered trade name "Zululand Pineapples®".

The farm is situated in the Zululand area of South Africa, in the province of Kwa-Zulu Natal and neighbouring the St Lucia Wet Land world heritage site.

Pineapple production commenced in 1998 with 0.5 hectare of pineapples harvested per month producing 300 tons per year. Production has grown in 2005 to approx 100 tons per month.

Since the farming activity is a family business, the management team consists of :
